Damascus steel

To produce Damascus steel, different types of steel are placed on top of each other and welded together in fire. This is how unique Damascus steels are created using traditional forging techniques.

The hand-made packages are folded over and over again until the desired number of layers are created. Different rolling and forging techniques can be used to create desired patterns and effects.

Finally, the structure of the individual materials is highlighted by etching and the characteristic pattern comes to light.
