Casting molds
The mold boxes consist of an upper and lower box, which can be positioned one above the other using locating pins. The molding boxes
are produced in our factory in Ochsenhausen.
- stable welded construction
- precisely fitting guide
- no more screw clamps required thanks to threaded fitting bolts
- profiled to prevent the sand from slipping
- good temperature resistance
In addition to our standard molding boxes, we also offer almost every conceivable special size and type.

Molding
Here we show how the upper box is molded. The basic principle remains the same for the lower box.
When molding, it is important that sieved sand is used and that the model is well covered with release powder.
It must also be carefully tamped and the oil sand must be well compacted.
This is the only way to avoid surprises such as a rough surface or deformed contours when removing the mold.
Questions - Answers - FAQ
Many questions about the molds and mold boxes that we try to answer without meaningless AI texts.
Do you still have questions? Then please ask us directly here:
E-mail:
What is a mold used for?
A mold is used to hold the molding sand and to give the oil sand a stable frame.
A model is later formed or placed in the sand, which is then tamped in the mold.
What material are molds made of?
Our molds are made of sturdy steel.
However, molds made of wood or other materials can also be used.
We use steel because it is robust, durable, quickly adaptable and has proven itself over the years.
Where can I buy casting molds?
You're welcome to do so from us ;)
We manufacture our casting molds and mold boxes ourselves in our metal workshop.
The bolts and dowel pins are turned and the stable welded construction is carefully assembled by us
We can also manufacture special sizes in small quantities and with short delivery times.
What should I look out for when buying?
The mold should be sturdily built and the parts must fit well together.
Are the molds durable?
We have been building our molds for many years and our customers include both hobby casters and professionals.
However, larger special molds are usually used here, which only differ from the standard in terms of their basic structure in small features.
Does a mold wear out?
After very intensive use or a very, very long time, casting molds also wear out.
A hobby caster who casts every week will not experience this.
If the bolts are worn out at some point, the hole can be drilled out and the bolt replaced with a larger one.
Suitable mold?
The mold should fit the workpiece. This saves sand and time when molding.
Handling is also made easier with a suitable mold.
You can't find the right mold?
We make molds in any size from a quantity of 1.
With 2 or 4 bolts, with a slotted hole, with a crane eyelet, carrying handle, and much more.
Just ask us.
