  Entirely dedicated to custom knives   In the heart of Europe, less than 2 hours by train away from Paris, one hour and a half from Stuttgart and one hour from Basel, gifted with a rich historical and cultural heritage, famous for its gastronomy, its wines and friendly hospitality, Strasbourg has everything to please, especially with a good knife show !   To satisfy the demand and to fill the void of an important knife show in this part of France, we have decided to correct this and so it is a great pleasure to invite you to participate to the Euro Knife.   Entirely dedicated to custom knives, the event will welcome renowned knife makers from around the world to offer them premium conditions to present and sell their creations in the cool and classy atmosphere of the Hilton Hotel lounges.   We are a team of friends knife lovers: collectors, professional makers, hobbyists, users with backgrounds as diverse as the different knives that we own. We have taken the habit to meet regularly together to share friendly moments and simple pleasures, showing each other our last knives, discussing endlessly about styles and techniques and enjoying, besides our mutual company, good things to eat and to drink.   By organizing Euro Knife Show we aim to share these privileged moments on a wider scale and with greater numbers, and offer knife makers the opportunity to show their works to a new audience while enjoying the pleasure of our beautiful region, the Alsace. 10. Olchinger Frühjahrsausstellung (D) - 25 April 2026

    In Thiers, the capital of cutlery, the Coutellia knife exhibition attracts thousands of cutlers from all over the world every year who have mastered the art of knife making. For an entire weekend, the artistic knives reflect the entire culture of their countries of origin and are of course also available for purchase at the exhibition. In addition to artisans, Coutellia also offers industrial knife manufacturers the opportunity to exhibit and sell their knives. The cutlers can take part in a competition with one of their handmade knives.   From June 22nd to 27th, 2026, the LWL Open-Air Museum Hagen will once again become a hub for the next generation of metalworkers.   30 Jahre Schmiedebiennale 2026 30 Jahre Feuer, Eisen und Inspiration in Kolbermoor   Biennale 2026 Vom 6. bis 9. August 2026 verwandelt sich Kolbermoor erneut in ein pulsierendes Zentrum der Schmiedekunst. Die Biennale der Schmiede feiert ihr 30-jähriges Jubiläum – und das mit einem Programm, das Tradition, Innovation und internationale Freundschaft vereint.   Seit drei Jahrzehnten steht die Biennale in Kolbermoor für die lebendige Verbindung von Handwerk, Kunst und Gemeinschaft. Im nächsten Jahr richtet sich der Blick über die Alpen – denn das Gastland 2026 ist Österreich, dessen Schmiedekultur eine ebenso lange wie beeindruckende Geschichte aufweist.   Schmiedinnen und Schmiede aus Deutschland, Österreich, der Schweiz und ganz Europa werden in Kolbermoor erwartet. In vielen Feuern, entsteht auf Platz vor dem Alten Rathaus ein lebendiges Festival der Formen und Funken.   Jugend: Projekt „Baumschutzgitter“ Das Jubiläum steht im Zeichen der Zukunft: Es ist wieder ein Jungschmiede-Projekt geplant. Die jungen Leute sollen sich dem Thema „Baumschutzgitter“ widmen – eine gestalterisch anspruchsvolle und zugleich praktische und Aufgabe. Junge Talente aus Ausbildungsbetrieben und Fachschulen sowie junge Gesellen sollen gemeinsam Entwürfe machen, die zeigen, wie sich handwerkliche Präzision und zeitgenössischem Design verbinden lässt. „Die Mitglieder des Schmiedebeirates im Ring der Europäischen Schmiedestädte planen gleichzeitig ihr Jahrestreffen in Kolbermoor abzuhalten und sollen sich dem gleichen Thema zu widmen.“ sagte Kolbermoors Vertreter im Ring, Michael Ertlmeier beim Vorbereitungstreffen. Unter Anleitung erfahrener Meister entstehen so neue Objekte, die im öffentlichen Raum sichtbare Spuren hinterlassen. Dass beide Gruppen zusammenarbeiten ist wohl zu erwarten. Davon profitieren werden sicher vor allem die Nachwuchskräfte.   Fachvorträge im Alten Rathaus Begleitend dazu bietet die Biennale ein vielfältiges Fachprogramm 2026 erstmals im Alten Rathaus, der heutigen Musikschule. Internationale Referentinnen und Referenten aus Handwerk und Design sprechen über aktuelle Themen der Metallgestaltung: von nachhaltigen Materialien und modernen Fertigungstechniken über historische Schmiedetraditionen bis hin zur Rolle des Kunsthandwerks in einer sich wandelnden Gesellschaft. Noch stehen die Themen nicht fest, Angebote sind erwünscht.   Schmieden live erleben – für Groß und Klein Neben den Fachveranstaltungen ist das Liveschmieden das Herzstück der Biennale. Besucherinnen und Besucher können den Kunstschmieden über die Schulter schauen, wenn aus glühendem Eisen einzigartige Werke entstehen. An den fünf Feuern im Schmiedezelt, aber auch an den Ständen darum herum gibt es viel zu sehen.   Ein besonderes Erlebnis bietet das „Schmieden mit Kindern“, bei dem junge Besucherinnen und Besucher unter sicherer Anleitung selbst Hand anlegen dürfen. Hier geht es um Neugier, Kreativität und den ersten Funken Begeisterung für ein altes, aber immer aktuelles Handwerk.   Österreich zu Gast Mit Österreich als Gastland steht die Biennale 2025 auch im Zeichen der alpinen Schmiedekunst. Es ist geplant die mobile Schmiede der Kollegen aus dem Nachbarland, einen voll ausgestatteten Anhänger mit drei Arbeitsplätzen, in Kolbermoor einzusetzen.   Von filigranen Kunstobjekten bis zu Skulpturen präsentieren österreichische Schmiede Arbeiten und laden zu grenzüberschreitender Zusammenarbeit ein. Von Ende Juni bis Ende September 2026 stellt die Stadt Kolbermoor Flächen im Eingangsbereich des Rathauses, im Foyer des Sitzungssaals und im Park hinter dem Rathaus zu Ausstellungszwecken zur Verfügung. Kleinere Arbeiten für drinnen, größere Objekte im Park. Auf dem Vorplatz des Rathauses ist die lebensgroße Figur eines Hufschmiedes am Amboss geplant.   Die Biennale der Schmiede ist nicht nur ein Treffpunkt für Fachleute, sondern auch ein Fest für die Menschen aus der Region Rosenheim. Stände und Ausstellungen machen Kolbermoor vier Tage lang zu einem Ort der Begegnung, des Hammerklanges. Einen kleinen Wermutstopfen gibt es doch: Der Mareissaal, in dem bei früheren Biennalen kurzfristig mitgebrachte Objekte ausgestellt wurden, steht diesmal nicht zur Verfügung. Er wird renoviert.   Die Biennale in Kolbermoor – das ist 2026 ein Jubiläum, das nicht nur zurückblickt, sondern auch die Zukunft schmiedet. September 2027   The Casentino Valley is ready to welcome the XXVII European Biennial Show of Blacksmithing Art: all of the volunteers of our Association, supported by the entire town of Stia, are already working hard to organise the next edition which will be held from 03. to 6 September 2027.                  From 3 to 6 September 2027 – The 27th Edition of the European Biennial of Blacksmith Art Returns to Stia, Tuscany   Forging, applied arts, and design. From 3 to 6 September 2027, the town of Stia, in the province of Arezzo (Tuscany), will host the 27th edition of the European Biennial of Blacksmith Art – an international event dedicated to the craftsmanship and artistic expression of wrought iron. The Biennial is promoted and organized by the Autonomous Association for the Biennial of Blacksmith Art in Stia and the Municipality of Pratovecchio Stia.   For four days, blacksmiths from all over the world will gather in this charming Tuscan village in the Casentino Valley to share techniques, exchange ideas and best practices, and spark creativity. Since 1976, the Stia Biennial – the world’s longest-running exhibition of artistic wrought iron – has transformed the town’s squares and streets into an open-air workshop. The event preserves and celebrates an ancient craft deeply rooted in the local culture while projecting it into the future, reimagining ironwork for contemporary society.   The Biennial is also an opportunity to bring a wider audience closer to the value of handcrafted and artistic ironwork. Live forging demonstrations, exhibitions of wrought iron pieces, conferences, markets, children’s workshops, music, and other side events will allow visitors to see forging techniques up close and interact with artisans.     THE BIENNIAL IN EUROPE As an international centre of excellence, Stia is an active member of the Ring of the European Cities of Iron Works, a network established in 2003 that brings together Europe’s most important wrought iron traditions through cultural exchanges and shared projects. This year, the Biennial is also part of the European project Iron Notes, co-funded by the EU under the Creative Europe Programme.
