consisting of:
Thermal safety valve
Thermocouple
Mounting bracket
Suitable adapters
The thermal monitoring device is part of the thermoelectric ignition safety device for gas-fired forge furnaces and is designed to quickly prevent the escape of unburned gas in the event of a malfunction.
Can be mounted between the ball valve and the burner tube. The mounting bracket is attached to the housing with screws. Holes must be drilled and threaded for this purpose.
Function:
The gas flame heats the tip of the thermocouple. This generates a thermal voltage, which is conducted through the copper wire to a holding magnet. Once sufficient voltage is built up, the magnet holds the valve open. If combustion ceases, the tip of the thermocouple cools, the thermal voltage is reduced, and the holding magnet closes the valve. The response time is between 10 and 60 seconds, depending on the design.
An essential safety device for all gas-fired forge furnaces. Also suitable for DIY construction!
