special moulding sand, oil-bonded, 25 kg
in bags of 25 kg
Ready-to-use special sand, very fine-grained, for producing sharp, smooth surfaces in almost all metals.
Immediate casting after molding without drying and without sizing.
It can be poured several times.
25 kg bag measures approximately 45x27x18 cm
Application:
Tamp sand really hard. Always use molding powder for dividing surfaces. Slowly pour metal into the mold. prick air. Leave the casting in the mold for as long as possible. The surface will be smoother and the sand will remain usable longer.
Burnt sand is sorted out and disposed of; remaining sand can be reused several times.
Tip:
The molding sand can also be used to cast plaster.
Do not add water!

Regenerating Oil for moulding sand 0,5 kg
for reworking of oil molding sand
This can be used to reprocess it after it has been stored for too long or if the molding sand is too dry.
“Fat” sand also behaves somewhat better when modeling fine contours than sand that is too dry and can be tamped more firmly.
Application:
Mix the existing molding sand with approx. 1/1000 oil, i.e. 100g oil to approx. 100kg molding sand.
Mixing can be done by hand or with a machine; in any case, thorough mixing is important.
special granulate for Al-Si-cast-alloys
easy binding of oxids in the slag
Addition quantity approx. 0.1%.
In the molten state, aluminum, wrought and cast alloys tend not only to form oxide and absorb hydrogen, but also to form undesirable dross and aluminum oxide foam, which has an extremely high metal content. The granules bind oxides and transport them to the surface through a flotation process, where they can easily be skimmed off as slag.
Application:
Depending on the amount of melt, approx. 0.1 weight - % is added,
i.e. for 1 kg of melt, approx. 0.001 kg (=1g) is required.
Shortly before pouring, the required amount is carefully stirred into the melt.
After a short reaction time of approx. 1-2 minutes, the "dross" can be skimmed off with a preheated spoon and watering can begin.
