This forged blank is ideal for forging your own hammers.
The raw piece for hammers is perforated and thorned perfectly according to DIN and after grinding or forging only has to be hardened according to your own ideas. (hardening instructions in the download area). Depending on the processing, it may happen that the eye has to be thorned again after forging. For this we recommend our hammer thorn (item no. 518726)
These special tools are forged by hand in the Reisinger forge in the heart of the lower Mühlviertel in Austria to the highest quality standards.

Uri Hofi developed and optimized the classic hammer shape.
This well balanced hammer enables ergonomic and less tiring forging. The hammer head is glued into the handle. The elastic glue dampens shocks that occur during the impact and protects the wrist.
We manufacture the Hofi hammer in excellent quality from high-strength tool steel.
Uri Hofi learned the traditional forging technique from Alfred Habermann. On this basis and through further analyzes, he developed his own ergonomic forging techniques.
