For casting very intricate contours and small workpieces, we recommend AlSi7Mg.
Excellent castability, good mechanical properties, good corrosion resistance, and weldability.
Old car rims, jewelry or the like can be melted down, but you never know exactly what material you have in front of you.
In many applications it is important to have a clean and homogeneous casting and for this it is important to use a base material that is as “pure” as possible.
