Temperature range: -30°C to 1400°C
The professional solution for extreme loads – when standard release agents reach their limits.
Where conventional lubricants like our proven "Flutsch" reach their limits during intensive continuous use or at extreme temperatures, High-temperature paste comes into play.
This extremely high-purity high-temperature paste was specially developed for the heaviest tasks in forging and mechanical engineering – ideal for professional use when working on pneumatic hammers, dies, piercing mandrels, and highly stressed threaded connections.
Why High-temperature paste?
- Extreme heat resistance: Service temperature range from –40 °C to +1,400 °C
- No cracking / embrittlement: High-purity formulation free of sulfur, chlorine, fluorine, and lead – prevents stress corrosion cracking damage on high-alloy steels
- No seizing: Reliable protection against cold welding, scaling, and burning-on – even after years of exposure to extreme heat.
- Constant clamping forces: Enables precise tightening and easy loosening of threads and plug-in connections.
ideally suited for:
- Machined forging applications: Release and lubricating agent for piercing mandrels, dies, and tools on pneumatic hammers, presses, and forging dies.
- Highly stressed threads: Bolts, nuts, and studs on furnaces, exhaust systems, and high-temperature equipment.
- Stainless steel & special alloys: Specially developed for pollutant-free use on austenitic stainless steel and nickel-base alloys.
Properties:
- Temperature range: –40 °C to +1,400 °C
- Composition: High-purity mineral oil, synthetic thickener complex, and solid lubricants (including zirconium dioxide and graphite)
- Color: Gray-black
- Extremely high purity: Very low content of sulfur, chlorine, fluorine, phosphorus, lead, and zinc – prevents stress corrosion cracking and embrittlement of high-temperature alloys
- High pressure and load-bearing capacity: Four-ball apparatus (FAG/Weld load) > 4,400 N
- Coefficient of friction: Consistent and defined friction values on screws and threads (friction coefficient thread/head approx. 0.15)
- Corrosion and anti-seize protection: Reliable release action; prevents burning-on, scaling, cold welding, and fretting corrosion even under extreme heat conditions
- Dismantling ability: Guarantees simple and non-destructive loosening of connections even after long thermal exposure
- Density: approx. 1.2 g/cm³, at +20 °C
- Consistency: NLGI class 1–2 (smooth, easily spreadable assembly paste)
- Container size: 500 g tin (can)
Workshop Tip:
For standard forging work and classic hand open-die forging, our "Flutsch" remains the first choice. However, if you work mechanically, are exposed to extremely high pressures, or handle pneumatic hammer mandrels and dies in the professional segment, High-temperature paste offers you maximum protection for tools and machinery.
