Properties: Forged from hot-work steel Oil-hardened and tempered Ground and polished Long service life Very good heat resistance This forged tool enables easy punching and thorning of blanks according to DIN. The thorn is forged and ground in such a way that the different "eye measurements" of the hammer head are reflected on the different lengths of the thorn. This makes thorning easy and you get the desired eye measurement to match the hammer handles with great repeatability. Figure 2 shows the hammer thorn and a hammer blank forged with it. The hammer blank is not included in the scope of delivery. The raw piece for hammers is perforated and thorned perfectly according to DIN and after grinding or forging only has to be hardened according to your own ideas.
