carbon content 0,52 %, for hardening in oil, similar 1.4034/1.4037 perfect for making kitchen knives Alleima® 12C27M, still produced in swedish Sandviken, is a martensitic stainless chromium steel developed for the manufacture of kitchen tools with high demands on wear- and corrosion resistance properties. After heat treatment the grade is characterized by: High hardness which gives good wear resistance. Good corrosion resistance Typical applications for Alleima® 12C27M are kitchen tools, such as different types of knives and scissors, that need to tolerate dish-washing.
carbon content 0,53 %, for hardening in oil perfect for making kitchen and outdoor knives Knife steel 10C28Mo2, still produced in swedish Sandviken, is a martensitic stainless chromium steel developed for razor blade and knife applications with high demands on corrosion resistance. The carefully chosen chemical composition in combination with a very fine microstructure also provides a high hardness, good edge retention, toughness and edges that are easy to re-sharpen. After heat treatment the grade is characterized by: Very good corrosion resistance High hardness which gives good wear resistance Good toughness Typical applications for 10C28Mo2 are kitchen knives and other tools where a dishwasher-safe material is required, professional butcher knives that need to be easily resharpened, outdoor knives, medical blades and razor blades, with high requirements on corrosion resistance and toughness.
AlMgSi 0,5, in small pieces ~ 40 x 30 x 8 mm This is a cost-effective alternative to AlSi7Mg. Our AlMgSi 0.5 is easy to cast and offers good post-processing properties. For casting very intricate contours and small workpieces, we recommend AlSi7Mg. Old car rims, jewelry or the like can be melted down, but you never know exactly what material you have in front of you. In many applications it is important to have a clean and homogeneous casting and for this it is important to use a base material that is as “pure” as possible. We sell the sections by weight (per kg). 42 strips correspond to approximately one kg. Picture 2 shows about 0.4 kg in a 2 kg crucible (the crucible is not included). The dimensions of the strips may vary.
AlSi7Mg, in pieces weighing approximately 1 kg For casting very intricate contours and small workpieces, we recommend AlSi7Mg. Excellent castability, good mechanical properties, good corrosion resistance, and weldability. Old car rims, jewelry or the like can be melted down, but you never know exactly what material you have in front of you. In many applications it is important to have a clean and homogeneous casting and for this it is important to use a base material that is as “pure” as possible. Bar dimensions: approx. 90 x 90 x 60 mm. Bar dimensions may vary.

mineral lubricating oil, suitable for AN, Kuhn, Say-Mak. Also suitable for other powerhammers. perfect for power forging hammers excellent formation of oil mist very good adhesion good protection against corrosion This single-grade engine oil with a high viscosity index is made from extremely aging-resistant solvent raffinates as base oil and optimally selected active ingredients. Due to its specific properties, the oil is particularly intended for use in machines under extreme operating conditions.
for forgingpress AN-Y04 AN-Y04-25t requires 220-240 l, AN-Y04-50t requires 450-500 l packing unit in barrels with 60 l Properties: Enhanced aging resistance Enhanced corrosion protection Enhanced EP properties (extreme pressure and wear protection) Thanks to its additive package, this oil meets all the requirements of forging presses and is primarily suitable for hydraulic systems subject to high thermal stress, where water ingress may lead to corrosion, and whose pumps or hydraulic motors—due to operating conditions—require oils offering wear protection under mixed-friction regimes. A frequent cause of damage and malfunctions in hydraulic machinery is contaminated oil. Replacing the oil filter and hydraulic fluid at regular intervals ensures a long service life and consistent system performance.
