If the power hammer experiences a noticeable loss of striking power, blows compressed air and oil out around the front guide bushing, and the ram wobbles perceptibly, this is frequently caused by worn segmented rings, the corresponding wear plates, or the guide bushing itself.
Improperly wedged dies can also cause damage to the front guide bushing. In such cases, the guide bushing will exhibit distinct scoring and notches and must be replaced.
This is often the case with older machines.
To restore the full performance and operational readiness of the machine, these components should be replaced immediately in the event of severe wear.
Note:
Only the guide bushing is included in delivery.
When replacing it, the wear plates and segmented rings must also be replaced.
